June 26, 2020: UPDATE RE: OPERATIONS DURING COVID-19 OUTBREAK
Rootree's offices, production facility and co-packing operations have moved from our location in Hamilton, Ontario to a new location in Burlington, Ontario. We have also opened a second location in Montréal, Québec. Our Ontario office staff continue to work from home while our Montréal office staff continue to practice social distancing and increased sanitation procedures as required. We continue to maintain delivery timelines but ask for your patience in the event of supplier shortages.
Our Burlington location is not open to the public – by appointment only. We are accepting deliveries and pickups.
Our LeMoyne location is open to the public with health guidelines in place.
Due COVID-19, we encourage virtual meetings when possible, but if you need to come in and visit, we have a few guidelines to help keep everyone involved safe:
- Face masks are required in the office. We encourage everyone to bring their own, but we have a number of disposable ones in case you forget yours
- A hand sanitization station will be placed at the front entrance, you must sanitize your hands before you can continue into the building
March 25, 2020: UPDATE RE: OPERATIONS DURING COVID-19 OUTBREAK
On March 23rd, the Ontario Government released a list of essential businesses and ordered the closure of non-essential businesses by March 24th at midnight. Included in this list was "Businesses that supply other essential businesses [...] including processing, packaging, distribution, delivery [...] necessary to operate." As a supplier of packaging for food suppliers throughout Canada, Rootree will continue to operate. Our office staff continue to work from home while our warehouse staff continue to practice social distancing, existing PACSecure safety standards, and increased sanitation procedures as required. We continue to maintain delivery timelines but ask for your patience in the event of supplier shortages.
March 16, 2020: IMPORTANT NOTE RE: OPERATIONS DURING COVID-19 OUTBREAK
At Rootree, we are being extra diligent to ensure the continuing health and safety of our community. As such, any in-person meetings or facility visits are canceled effective immediately – staff will reach out to reschedule at an appropriate time. If the issue is time-sensitive, a representative will be in touch to schedule a phone call.
We are working hard to maintain delivery timelines, however adjustments to these timelines may be required due to circumstances beyond our control. If any such adjustments are required, clients will be contacted by their representative.
Please note that we are adhering to the recommended social distancing and self-isolation practices - we have made arrangements for staff to work from home where possible, and we ask that all inquiries continue to be directed to your representative’s email. While we strive to continue to provide the best possible customer service, there may be some communication delays as we are no longer working in close physical proximity to our co-workers. As such, we ask for some additional patience with respect to our response times.
