Tea Horse is an Indigenous-owned tea company located on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg Peoples in Northwestern Ontario. The company focuses on applying its knowledge of Japanese tea and herbs while paying tribute to its Aboriginal roots. Tea Horse came to Rootree to upgrade their labeled stock pouches to custom-designed flexible pouches, looking to enhance their professionalism by moving from local markets into larger grocery chains. Let’s get a taste of this gorgeous creative project!
With the Tailored to You package, Rootree was able to present Tea Horse with many creative options for packaging design. Upon working closely with the client, Rootree’s design team got to work creating different design options. The final design featured Kevin Belmore’s painting as a focal point, accompanied by clear information within a fun triangular space with uniquely featured colour bars to differentiate their various products. Kevin works out of The Creative in Thunder Bay, creating eye-catching unique paintings.
Now, Tea Horse’s new branded enhanced packaging allows them to compete with larger brands, showcasing their consistent, clean, and premium designed pouch. The story doesn’t end here, now that we have completed their core product line, it’s time to continue their rollouts with their new Wild Rice SKU. Stay tuned for this expansion!
