VK Greenhouses is a local business in the heart of Prince Edward Island. They recently started harvesting Haskap berries, a favourite seasonal fruit for islanders. VK Greenhouses offers locals the ability to enjoy these treasures year-round with their frozen product, which is sold in local grocery stores. The client came to Rootree in search of packaging for their delicious frozen berries with our Tailored to You package. Provided with three initial concepts and some quick edits, VK Greenhouses is so happy with their new look. Let’s harvest the highlights from this amazing creative project!
When designing VK Greenhouses’ packaging, it was key to create a pouch that reflected their brand and showcased the beloved Haskap berries. Rootree’s Creative Services team decided to use a bold navy blue paired with a vibrant green; both colours pulled from the Haskap berries themselves. Our graphic designers used elegant watercolour paintings of the berries to highlight the unique fruits and add depth to the design. The typefaces used have character and texture to give off a “small town,” friendly feel. This design ultimately provided VK Greenhouses with an approachable look that also conveys the business’s personality. These pouches certainly entice islanders to grab these seasonal berries any time of the year.
