Compostable

Rootree believes that sustainability is the standard.

We use a proprietary combination that includes bio-based, renewable, and non-GMO materials to create environmentally friendly packaging that you can be proud of.

Turtle Films

Our compostable packaging is made from our very own compostable packaging material, Turtle Films.

Compostable vs. Biodegradable

Everything starts to break down – but will it be in five weeks or five years? The term biodegradable sounds nice, but it tends to create a false belief that it’ll break down, disappear, and leave no trace on the environment.

Whereas with compostable packaging is made from plant derivatives, meaning they’ll naturally decompose with the help of heat, moisture, and microbes – gently re-entering the earth without leaving harmful toxins behind.

Compostable Identification Logo

Your company is making an impact – so why not make it known? The world of compostable products is a complicated one, and we want to make sure that the end consumer is informed about what they’re buying. To this end, we have created an identification logo that we require to be placed in a visible location on your packaging.
