Remember when we committed to planting 300 trees this year? Well, we did it! Earlier this month, the Rootree team (and some of our little sprouts) got our shovels and rubber boots together and got to work.
The Conservation Halton crew started by giving our team a thorough tutorial on proper planting procedures to ensure that these trees will thrive and continue to support their environment for many years to come. After that, we got straight to work digging, planting, and backfilling (don’t worry, we took a time out for a watermelon break, too!). It was the perfect afternoon for establishing roots in the ground and strengthening our roots in the Halton community, and with the help of CH we were able to reach our planting goal in just a few hours – now that’s what we call teamwork!
